Frequently Asked Questions
Once my website is launched, how can I make updates and changes? The best answer to this question varies from website owner to the next, however the following four solutions offer a range of support for web site maintanence that range in levels of expertise, time and financial commitments.
#1 Web Management Services – A great option for those website owners who do not have the time or maybe do not have the desire to personally maintain and update their website or for those who would like to have their site up to date while they are learning how to use software. Using CCG as your web management service is as simple as sending an email. To make edits and changes, simply send your changes in an email to us and we will have them up on your site promptly. This service is $50 per hour. Most simple edits like calendar updates, or text changes take less than 30 minutes and of course vary by quantity and amount of detail.
#2 Dreamweaver – This reputable and widely utilized web design software is recommended for web site owners who are computer savvy and want to learn all the “behind the scenes” of editing their website. The benefit of using Dreamweaver to edit your site is that you have 100% editing power. You can add pages, navigational elements, edit text, add/change/delete pictures, add links, forms, etc. You name it; you can do it in Dreamweaver. *Dreamweaver Tips* - Depending on your knowledge of website design and construction, it is highly recommended to take a basic tutorial or class before editing your own site. Dreamweaver may be purchased from the Adobe Macromedia Store. Official Description is as follows: “Adobe Dreamweaver CS3- Design, develop, and maintain standards-based websites and applications — from start to finish — with Adobe Dreamweaver® CS3 software. Work the way you work best using either a visual layout interface or a streamlined coding environment. It allows you to edit your site like you would in Word, but all while you are looking at it in your browser. This is a great option for making edits at will without having to worry about any complicated details.*Adobe Contribute CS3 Tips* This option works best when working with a webmaster, or someone who has full access to the code and overall structure to your site. Also, it is helpful to integrate into the layout and design the portions of your site that you would like to be able to edit on a regular basis so that proper measures are taken during site construction. Official Description: “Adobe® Contribute® CS3 software enables anyone to quickly and easily update existing websites and blogs while maintaining the look and feel imposed by Adobe Dreamweaver® templates.
